The New Build
Move-in ready, mostly.
Why settle for centuries of patina when you can have something that smells of fresh sealant? The New Build is Malta’s gift to the visitor who prefers their charm uncomplicated by character.
Each apartment is a triumph of efficiency: a generous expanse of porcelain tile, an aluminium aperture framing the side of the next block, and a balcony precisely deep enough for one chair, provided no one needs to walk past it. The finishes are immaculate, in the way that things are immaculate before anyone has lived with them. The grouting is crisp. The intercom photograph of the lobby is stunning.
Move-in ready, mostly. The lift is being commissioned. The communal areas are “phase two.” The sea view, prominent in the brochure, is subject to a pending application next door, but for now, if you lean out far enough and look hard to the left, there it is.
Identical to the building beside it and the one across the road, the New Build offers a reassuring sameness wherever you go. Lose your way home? Don’t worry. Any of them will do.
Authentic? It’s authentically new. Every single morning.
